PAM Group began from the establishment of PT. Pintu Air Mas in 1983 which is the embryo of from PAM Group itself.

Initially PT. Pintu Air Mas was moving in the field of property development as well as contractor in Jakarta and surrounding areas, among others include Lokasari shopping complex Jakarta, and shopping complex Kalimalang in Bekasi. In time, PT. Pintu Air Mas grew and expand to other regions such as in Bali, which include Resort Bedugul Lake View Villa in Bedugul, Bali, and complex Jatra Hotel Bali Bali.

In early 1990, PT. Pintu Air Mas diversify its businesses starting from the field of tourism with the opening of Jatra Tour & Travel in Jalan Hayam Wuruk No.32B accompanied by the opening of various branches in and outside the country. Then PT Pintu Air Mas started to enter the hospitality business with the opening of Jatra Hotel Jakarta and Bali. The growing businesses in PT. Pintu Air Mas has turned it into a "holding company" for other companies under one flag that is Pintu Air Mas Group or abbreviated PAM Group.

With the opening of the Jakarta Stock Exchange, PAM Group's businesses was more developed with the establishment of PT. Kapita Sekurindo that specialize in the field of stock brokerage.

And since the use of foreign languages was allowed, especially Mandarin language by the government in 1999-2000, PAM Group quickly saw the opportunity and establish the Bina Bangsa School with Singaporean curriculum. And Bina Bangsa School rapidly developing into one of the best school in Jakarta.

In the early 2000's, PAM Group began developing properties in a larger scale with the Mal Pekanbaru project and Grand Jatra Hotel in Pekanbaru, Riau, and continued with the superblock development projectin Balilkpapan, East Kalimantan and Cirebon Superblock in Cirebon, West Java.

In 2001, PAM Group saw the great potential of the consumer goods business, then works with PT.Warung Tinggi Coffee's coffee business with the modernization of all equipments and machineries that can compete with other competitors.
